Dre is a staunch advocate for climate change action. She has lobbied for legislation to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and increase renewable energy sources. Dre also realizes that the fight for climate action needs to be tied to the fight for climate justice. This is about more than just the disproportionate way that climate change impacts Communities of Color. She has and will continue to work to fight for sustainable policies that don’t lead to People of Color being targeted in their enforcement.

The struggle for equality has taken many forms throughout history, including civil rights movements, anti-discrimination laws, and activism.

Despite the progress that has been made, the fight for equality is far from over. Dre hopes to build on the work of the fighters who came before her and work with today’s activists and civil leaders towards a more equitable and just society.

Dre is passionate about affordable housing and has fought for legislation that will make it easier for people to find housing within their budget in their preferred parts of town. Dre understands that it is becoming increasingly difficult for people to find affordable housing, and is committed to the fight to increase funding for affordable housing initiatives. She also believes in cutting red tape that stops developers, public or private, from building quickly. Be believes the best way to bring down housing prices it to increase the supply of housing.

There are a great number of pedestrian, bicyclist, and scooter rider accidents that take place annually within our district. And survey after survey shows that a number of environmentally friendly short walks, bike rides, and scooter rides end up becoming car trips because of people’s concerns about safety.

If elected to neighborhood council I will work with existing leadership and local organizations to push for streets and sidewalks to be reconfigured to make non-car methods of transportation safer and more appealing. I will continue to put pressure on city council to improve our curbs and to build dedicated bike and bus lanes.
